this was a great book to read, and it took me right back to the same time period you write about. Part of the reason I liked it so much was that when I saw a Hulett, I only saw a Hulett- while you go on for a paragraph or two describing the beast, I can revisit in detail what I really did see. The way you expand on things so easily makes the book interesting and enjoyable. It was easy to identify with your experiences going "up the street", as I had a few of them myself- a few too many, perhaps. In fact, I picked the book up again, read a few pages, got hooked and finished it once more.
